A friend asked me about sources for plans for a OO size acoustic guitar. I thought I had seen something on this forum about it, so I referred him here. Was I correct in my thinking, or am I confused (again))?harry38974.4823958333

Harry, I've got a 12 fret 00 Martin here that I have traced for others, and would be happy to forward you (or him) a copy. Mind you, it's just the outline, not a plan per se. If interested, PM me.

Steve

Luthiers Mercantile has a body template for a Martin OO 14-fret in stock, and for a 12-fret, listed as "temporarily unavailable." I'm sure that John Hall at Blues Creek could supply you with templates for either. Couldn't find plans, though. Sorry.

Thanks, Harry, for recommending this site and following through with my question. I have been combing through the archives and almost missed this post. I am mostly interested in a 12 fret oo size guitar. I am still a beginning luthier but I am very motivated. I have two D size and a 12 fret ooo that I am working on. I tend to sort of move from one project to the next until I get neerve enough to move to the next step. I saw a oo maple guitar that I fell in love with at Kauffman's Kamp in June but couldn't afford the $5500 hundred dollars for the guitar so I want to build it. Thanks for the info and I'lll follow up. Please be prepared for more questions.

Todd- that's a beauty.
Is this the one you posted earlier with the flawless binding joints? It looks similar. (As in, equally impressive.)

OK, thanks guys. You all have been very helpful. I contacted John Hall and he seems to have everything I need. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions. I have several books and videos but direct contact with someone who is doing the works seems to be best for me. I'm going through the archives looking for info on the Fox bender. If I don't find what I need, I'll be back.

Dale

Hah! It wouldn't look like that if I built it. Very nice!

Hey Dale, welcome!
